My Baby Girl Turns 4!

Hey Bloggers!!

Last week it was our baby girls birthday.....she was 4 and is growing up so fast!!

This year she asked for a lollipop themed birthday so I organised the invites in the shape of lollipops (which I showed you last time) and they turned out really well.

I also made a lollipop cake with rainbow layers and I have to say that Im really happy with the result!!

Here is my gorgeous girl Ava....the big 4 year old!!

Both Ava and gorgeous Mackenzie in the background are wearing a new headband/clip piece that Ive been working on.....large shabby fabric flowers on clips and attached to an interchangeable headband.....I think they look fab!!

Ive also been busy this month making personalised bow & clip hangers.....and Ive now added a few loops to hang your headbands!!

Once Upon a Time......

Ok, so once upon a time I started a blog!! LOL

It has been quite a while since I posted my last blog.....so sorry for the delay, things got quite busy and hectic towards the end of last year! However, now that the kids are back at school (finally) I plan to get on here more regularly....was it just me or did the Christmas school holidays seem to drag and drag??!!

So I've started off the year by creating a new fabric flower that I've called the 'Shabby Fabric Flower' as it has raw, frayed edges. I'm still experimenting with different sizes, styles and colour combinations and hope to have a larger range available for sale soon!
(available on hair clip, hair tie or headband)

This week I've also been working on invitations for my little girls 4th birthday party.....she has asked for a lollipop theme so I've made up her invitations in the shape of a lollipop. I've had a little help from the wonderful tomkatstudio on Etsy....here is what they will look like....(photo from tomkatstudio on Etsy)



Aren't they so gorgeous??! They are printable invites and then you just put them together.....so easy!!

Its been a loooong week!

Hi there!

Im not sure about everyone else, but this week has been a long one for me so far!

I have been thrilled with all the orders I have had since my website went live http://www.thebuttonboutique.com.au/ but of course orders mean lots of work!! Don't get me wrong though, Im totally loving every minute of it! However every night this week Ive been saying to myself "tomorrow I will get up and go to the gym before hubby goes to work" and every morning at 5.40am when the alarm goes off I somehow don't actually get up and get dressed!!??....next week - no more excuses! ;-)

Last Sunday was also my youngest son Jackson's 6th birthday and we had a little party for him at the local McDonalds...here is a pic of him and his Dragon Cake which I so lovingly made for him! :-) don't know what I'd do without my womans weekly cake books!! LOL

My First Time!!

Oh wow, Im a little nervous....this is my very first post on my blog!!

Firstly I need to thank the talented Tamara from Tamara Sirl Designs for designing this blog and my new website!! They both look so fantastic and she has been so helpful every step of the way!

Ok, so I handmake girls accessories.....hair ties, snap clips, bobby pins, headbands & beanies. Im a real girly girl and I love to make girly things. I always start with ideas that I think my daughter will like and most of the time she loves them....but with two older brothers, she does sometimes turn her nose up at me and prefers being one of the boys!!
